Linda Greeson

Who I am: Hi, I’m Linda Greeson, and I’ve been  married to James Greeson since 1975.  We have 2 children, Brian and Christina and 1 grandchild, Asher.  I’ve been a child of God for many years and still marvel that He would want me.  I was born in a small Texas town and am still a small-town girl at heart.  I love to do needle work, crafts, read and spend time with my grandson.  I want to learn to quilt and possibly take flying lessons if I ever get to retire.  One of my current goals is to spend more time with friends and less time cleaning house.

What I do here at Southway: I serve as the Office Manager; which means I pay the bills, keep track of donations, order supplies, pray for staff and church members, send out prayer requests to the prayer chain, help deacons and elders as needed, maintain financial and church business records, supervise some part-time staff, and try to be available to people who need someone to listen.

My Favorites:
-Food: soups and almost anything sweet.
-Movie: Secondhand Lions and Star Trek (2009)
-Song: Friends by Michael W. Smith
-Book: I like mostly mysteries and Christian novels.  The Bible.

What I see God up to at Southway: I see God working with individuals in new ways.  I think it’s wonderful to see people excited about helping others, specially helping unchurched people for the purpose of showing God’s love to them.  God has blessed us with a wonderful pastor who has Godly wisdom and great abilities to lead.  I see God moving in the lives of the staff through his leadership.  It amazes me how many people have found us despite not having a sign out front.
