Below are some Frequently Asked Questions that we hope helps you get to know us better.

Do I have to be a professing Christian to go to Southway?

-Absolutely not. In fact, here at Southway, we like to say that our morning gatherings are safe places for people of any background and are thrilled that you would join us! However, please know upfront that we are Christian. Our songs, prayers, messages, and media are all about Jesus Christ, and we hope to challenge you to consider or re-consider Jesus and His role in your life.

If I give you my info what will you do with it?

-At Southway, we will ask you to fill out something called the SCC Connections, which is a slip of colored paper you will find inside your worship folder. We will ask you for a current and valid physical address, a “best” phone number and valid email address. We promise neither to distribute nor sell your information. However, we would value your information so we could serve you in any way we can.

Will you ask me to give money?

-Not exactly. We will let you know about where to turn in your SCC Connections, which is in one of our 3 offering boxes located inside and near the worship center. At Southway, we do not pass the plate, or take up an offering during the services. So, all we would want from you as a first-time guest is to put your filled-out SCC Connections in the offering box. Having said that, some of our guests come from a churched background and wish to contribute monetarily on their first Sunday. By all means, do so! Just know that monetary gifts are not requested from our guests.

What should I wear?

-At Southway, our people wear outfits ranging from shorts-flip flops to business suits to business casual. Wear whatever makes you comfortable. All we ask is that you wear an outfit that is not distracting (Think: Pink zoot suit) nor revealing (Think: Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition/Abercrombie Catalog)

What do you have for my kids?

-That’s a great question, for we are in transition on what we offer your children. For kids cradle-High School, we have a fully-graded Sunday School hour designed to attract and reach kids on their own level in a fun and safe learning environment. Our younger kids program is morphing by the week, and you’ll love for your younger kid to be a part as we change and grow. For our jr. and sr. high students, Southway is kicking student ministry into gear once again, and we are looking for you to be a part of the genesis of a new era for student ministry at Southway.

How can I get more connected at Southway?

-The best way to get more connected at Southway is to attend a morning Sunday School class at the 9:45 hour. Further, you can join one of our various small groups that are currently ongoing and forthcoming. For more information, click on the “ministries” tab to see how you can connect with Southway.
