Sunday Opportunities

There is nothing like knowing you have been utilized for a purpose bigger than yourself.  Serving God by serving others is a unique way to see God at work in your life.  Sunday mornings are a great time to use your gifts and talents to serve in a number of ways at Southway.  Below are some Sunday Opportunities for you to consider as you invest in transformation:

Hospitality Team:  Our Hospitality Team is responsible to help anyone and everyone feel loved and welcomed when they attend a worship service.  Hospitality team members also serve as our  “First Impression” for guests.  Whether greeting at the door, helping people connect at the Welcome Center, or serving as a Prayer Partner for others, our Hospitality Team is vital to our Sunday ministries.

Nursery: Our nursery is vital to our worship gatherings as we serve parents by providing a safe, loving place for their kids to enjoy while parents attend a worship gathering.  Nursery workers are asked to fill out a Background Check to insure safety for kids and parents, and are scheduled approximately once a month for service.

Teaching:  We have a number of roles and opportunities on Sunday for teachers and assistant teachers whether in children’s and student ministries, or in our adult classes.

Children’s Church:  In our 11 a.m. service, we offer Children’s Church for kids 4-8 years old.  Children’s Church volunteers get to love on kids and teach them about Jesus!
